Project Engineer

The ideal candidate will serve in a field support role for project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. To succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent time management skills. The position is an entry level role that is meant to serve not only in its current support capacity, but as a path towards advancement.  Project engineers typically gravitate towards either Field Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager as the next step in their career.  This is a great role to participate and in both aspects of management as the candidate works towards their goals in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation. Review submittals, shop drawings, etc.
  • Prepare project schedule and manage deadlines
  • Assist with estimation and bidding process
  • Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders, both verbally and with written communication
  • Support Project Team (Project Manager, Superintendent, Documents Control, etc.) in quality control, lay-out, safety, daily project documentation, etc.
  • Able to effectively work with project software such as PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, MS office software and P6/Asta scheduling
  • Goal oriented to advance within the Company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Relevant experience (co-op, internship, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with great work ethic
