Booker T. Washington Magnet Arts High School

The new 102,000 square-foot Booker T. Washington Magnet Arts High School for Montgomery Public Schools is complete. This project relocated the former B.T.W. H.S. from its downtown campus, which was destroyed by fire. The new Performance Arts wing boasts a black box theater with professional soundboards and lighting equipment, rehearsal studios, dressing rooms, a mock courtroom, offices for administration, and reception. Other new additions to the campus are the stand-alone cafeteria and gymnasium buildings. To complete the project, the former Holy Cross School, which once occupied the site, was renovated and repurposed into a wing for core curriculum learning.
