Phase II of the John C. Fant Memorial Library renovation and expansion was a total renovation of the interior of the 50,000 square-foot facility. The two-story building now houses a new writing center, study rooms, meeting rooms, kitchen, and staff lounge. We also installed new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The new interior includes custom millwork and new finishes. Additionally, asbestos abatement was needed for the 45-year-old building.
Phase III of the project included a complete interior renovation to the campus’ main library and exterior modifications and replacements to the surrounding hardscapes. The interior work totals 45,350 square-feet with a 21,650 square-foot demolition and renovation and a 23,700 square-foot build out to shell space. New additions to the library include classrooms, faculty kitchen, restrooms, a cafe, printing stations, seating areas, and archive space.
