Jefferson County Human Resource Office Renovations

We completed multi-phased renovations for Jefferson County’s Department of Human Resources. This project modernized the DHR’s administrative offices located in Birmingham’s historic Jefferson County Courthouse building, originally built in 1932 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The administration phase required a total demolition/renovation, adding a reception area, office space, break rooms and conference rooms. To complete this phase new marble entrances were added to the elevator lobby, while the original marble in this area was carefully maintained. We also renovated the DHR testing facilities, located across the street in the high-rise 2121 Building, which now features a large testing suite and modern offices.
