Robert Amason Named Chairman of the Board for the Tuscaloosa Salvation Army

Robert Amason was recently appointed Chairman of the Board for the Tuscaloosa Chapter of the Salvation Army. Since joining the Board in 2011, Amason has served on the local executive committee, capital campaign committee, and as co-chair of the properties committee, overseeing the new Center of Hope’s design and construction. As the only homeless shelter in the Tuscaloosa area, the Salvation Army Center of Hope provides shelter, meals, counseling, job placement assistance, educational opportunities, help for substance abuse, and vocational rehabilitation for men, women, and families in eight West Alabama counties.
